Manisha Patawari interspersed between the colors of symbolism and realism on the canvas, themes of unity in diversity and faith are found open to the interpretation of observers.

Her paintings reflect the cultural collage of dance and music of the multicultural society she grew up in and continues to live in. She has been painting for over 30 years donating 100% of the value of her paintings to charities in Europe and India.

  • 1967-1985 Born in Bhagalpur, Bihar, India and brought up in Mumbai, India.
  • 1979-1989 Studied Classical Indian Dancing, India. (Manipuri, Folkdances of India and Kathak)
  • 1980-1989 Workshops in Oil Painting, Water Colours, Tanjore work and Ceramic work, India.
  • 1985 Moved to Europe.
  • 1995 Studied Classical Indian dance: Kathak, Amsterdam.
  • 2005-2012 Graduated from Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp with Specialisation in 'The Art of Painting'.
  • 2014 Solo Charity Art Exhibition with proceeds for underprivileged girls in India (St Catherine's Home, Mumbai) and adults with special needs in Antwerp (Katrinahof).
